The operation made with a full charter of a river-type vessel, enabling smooth inland waterway transport through the Caspian Sea to the Port of Aktau. From there, the cargo continued via road transport across Kazakhstan to the final site.

Our team managed every stage of the project — from port handling to road permits and site delivery — ensuring safe, timely delivery of all units. This project is perfect example of our tailored solutions in CIS project logistics.

Scrubber Units

from South Korea to Turkey

As part of the global push for cleaner shipping under the IMO 2020 regulations, Palto Logistics managed the international transport of oversized marine scrubber units from Busan Port, South Korea to Belde Port, Turkey.

These systems, designed to remove harmful sulphur oxides (SOx) from ship exhaust gases, are vital in helping vessels comply with the 0.5% global sulphur emission cap enforced since January 2020. The project involved heavy lift handling, secure sea freight, and port coordination. Palto Logistics once again delivered a timely and smooth port-to-port solution tailored to the evolving maritime compliance landscape.

Power Transformers

from India to Tajikistan

Palto Logistics successfully executed a highly complex, multimodal transport of five power transformers from Mumbai, India to Tajikistan.

The journey began with breakbulk loading aboard a container vessel, arriving at AsyaPort Tekirdağ, Turkey. From there, the units were transported by road to the Port of Poti, Georgia, and transferred onto rail wagons bound for Dushanbe, Tajikistan.

At the final destination, our team managed precise unloading and skidding operations to place each transformer onto its foundation.

This door-to-site delivery, covering thousands of kilometers and multiple borders, required extensive coordination across ocean freight, road haulage, rail logistics, and heavy lifting services. Palto once again demonstrated its strength in handling challenging routes and delivering tailor-made solutions for high-value industrial cargo.

Heavy Lift Units

from China to Uzbekistan

Palto Logistics successfully executed the door-to-site delivery of five oversized industrial units from Zhangjiagang, China to Samarkand, Uzbekistan. The operation began with barge transport to the Port of Shanghai, where the cargo was loaded onto a breakbulk vessel bound for the Port of Mersin, Turkey.

Due to the exceptional dimensions and weight of the cargo, the overland journey from Mersin to Samarkand spanned over 45 days, requiring special road permits, escort arrangements, and close coordination with authorities across multiple countries. The convoy navigated complex border crossings, mountainous terrain, and infrastructure constraints to ensure safe transit.

This challenging multimodal transport involved barge, ocean vessel, and heavy haulage – all orchestrated by Palto’s experienced project logistics team. From factory gate in China to final positioning in Uzbekistan, Palto delivered a tailored logistics solution with precision and reliability, reinforcing our commitment to seamless execution for critical industrial projects in Central Asia.

Transformer Transport

from Ankara to Baku with

Final Skidding Operation

Palto Logistics successfully executed the international transport of a high-voltage power transformer from Ankara, Turkey to an energy facility in Baku, Azerbaijan. The entire delivery was performed by road, involving meticulous planning and coordination across borders.

Due to the transformer’s exceptional height, the convoy advanced with extreme caution, navigating multiple infrastructure challenges such as low bridges, overhead lines, and narrow rural roads. Movement was intentionally slow to ensure full control, and thanks to our skilled escort teams and route management, the transformer arrived safely and without damage.

At the final site in Baku, our scope extended beyond transport. The transformer was precisely positioned onto its foundation using the skidding method, requiring millimeter-level accuracy and specialized hydraulic equipment.

This project showcased Palto Logistics’ expertise not only in cross-border heavy transport, but also in the critical final positioning of industrial equipment — delivering turnkey solutions for the energy sector.

Multimodal Transformer Delivery

to Turkmenistan

Palto Logistics successfully delivered a high-voltage power transformer from Ankara, Turkey to an energy facility in Turkmenistan, showcasing its strength in managing complex multimodal transport operations.

The project began with road transport from Ankara to Karasu Port, where the unit was carefully loaded onto a river-type vessel. From there, it continued its journey across the Caspian Sea, arriving at the Port of Turkmenbashi.

Upon discharge, the transformer was transported to its final destination — an inland power plant in Turkmenistan. The move required extensive planning due to the size and sensitivity of the cargo, as well as strict route and timing coordination through multiple legs.

Palto’s team ensured flawless execution at every stage — including road haulage, vessel operations, and final delivery — completing the project with zero damage and full compliance with technical and customs regulations.

This operation once again demonstrated Palto Logistics’ ability to deliver tailored, door-to-site solutions across Eurasia’s most challenging corridors.

From Sea to Steam: Precision Transport to Navoi Power Plant

In one of our recent specialized logistics operations, we successfully delivered critical equipment to the Navoi Power Plant, supporting Uzbekistan’s growing energy infrastructure.

The operation began at Efesan Port, where multiple heavy and oversized industrial components were carefully loaded onto an inland-type vessel. The cargo, consisting of precision-engineered machinery and auxiliary units, was meticulously secured for river-sea navigation. The vessel then set sail across the Caspian Sea, arriving at Aktau Port in Kazakhstan. Upon discharge, the cargo was seamlessly transferred to road transport for the final inland journey through Central Asia — covering complex cross-border procedures and remote overland conditions — before reaching its destination in Navoi, Uzbekistan.

Despite the intricate cargo layout, including large-diameter units and sensitive components, all items were delivered intact and on schedule. Our team’s expertise in managing multimodal logistics under challenging conditions once again proved decisive.

This project is a testament to our ability to bridge continents with engineering precision — connecting ports, railways, and highways to power the future of energy.

Precision in Motion:

Diaper Production Line

Delivery & Installation

For one of our key partners, we undertook the complete handling and installation logistics of a new diaper production line in Turkey. The equipment arrived by sea at Derince Port, after which our team assumed full responsibility.

We first secured proper warehousing arrangements to ensure the safe interim storage of the cargo. Simultaneously, our on-site team began ground preparation and layout work at the factory — ensuring all civil conditions were met before installation.

Over the course of 40 days, we coordinated the sequential movement of the machinery into the facility, enabling smooth and accurate installation by our technical crew. Every detail — from alignment to positioning — was executed with care, ensuring the new line was fully operational on schedule.

This project highlights our ability to manage turnkey logistics and setup for complex industrial systems, from port to production.
